Street Team – Volunteers go to businesses and places of public interest to post SCENE FEST posters and distribute SCENE FEST postcards. Occasionally, you may be asked to pick up an item or drop off an item while visiting these places. Your duties take place in the days leading up to the event.
Site Set Up – Volunteers helping set up and/or breakdown for SCENE FEST. There may be duties throughout the course of your shift as well. Work directly with Site Director or other committee chairs.
Check ID Booth – Volunteers checking driver’s licenses or state issued IDs to verify that an individual is of legal drinking age before purchasing alcoholic beverage. A wristband or stamp will be used to ID individuals over 21 years.
Beverage Booth – Volunteers checking for wristband or stamp given at ID booth before serving alcoholic beverage. Also, volunteers are responsible for keeping area neat and clean while keeping beverages cold. Must be TABC certified.
Stage Hands – These volunteers are dedicated to the stage and backstage area. Must be able to lift heavy equipment while assisting bands.
Site Director Assistants – Volunteers work directly with the Site Director during set up and tear down. Duties during the shift includes keeping the festival site clean and at times changing out liners in trash barrels.
Floaters – Volunteers who take the place of another volunteer in their absence. These people may also relieve other volunteers for a short period (rest room, etc.).
Volunteer Check-In – Greet volunteers at the Volunteer Check-In Area. Provide them with packets, and help them find the area where they are assigned. This area also serves as info booth.
